In the sixth generation we have 5 versions: iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6 S, 6 S Plus and 6 SE. How not to get lost in them? Let’s single out, what differences they have.
If we consider size, iPhone 6 has parameters 138.1 x 67 x 6.9 mm; iPhone 6 Plus – 158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1mm; iPhone 6 S has parameters 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1; iPhone 6 S Plus – 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm; iPhone 6 SE – 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm.
SE model weighs only 113 grams, compared to 143 and 192 grams of the iPhone 6 S and iPhone 6 S Plus. iPhone 6 weighs 129 g, iPhone 6 Plus – 172 g. So, here we can see, that if your passion is big phones, you definitely should pay attention to iPhone Plus series. If colors matter, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus come in three colors: silver, golden and grey. iPhones 6 S, 6 S Plus and SE have four colors: silver, golden, “grey space” and “pink gold”.
iPhone 6 has 4.7 inches display, while in iPhone 6 Plus it is slightly bigger – 5.5 inches. Models 6 S and 6 S Plus have display Retina HD with 3D Touch technology with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch correspondingly. They have widescreen display Multitouch of new generation , LED backlight, IPS technology and drive Taptic engine. iPhone 6 SE doesn’t have 3D Touch and comes with a 4-inch screen, which by today's standards is very small. Its resolution is 1136 x 640 MP, which is lower than the resolution of 1334 x 750 MP in iPhone 6 and 6 S. The champions in this sphere are iPhone 6 Plus and 6 S Plus with the resolution 1920 x 1080 MP.
The SE iPhone lacks dual-domain pixels for wider viewing angles which are present in other versions. It has lower contrast that constitutes 800:1, when other versions have contrast 1300:1 or 1400:1. Finally, the display scaling and Reachability are also absent on the iPhone SE, though, given its size, it is not very important.
iPhone SE uses the first generation sensor touchID, while the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus is using the IPhone touchID second generation.
Processor, memory and battery
The heart of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus is A8 dual-core processor with a frequency of 1.6 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and a graphics card PowerVR-X6450. iPhone SE comes with the same chip A9, which we find in iPhone 6 S and iPhone 6 S Plus as well.
Apple offers iPhone SE in 16GB and 64GB storage options, while the other versions are available with 16, 64 and 128 GB.
As for battery, iPhone SE can work up to 13 hours of web-pages viewing mode on Wi-Fi and LTE. While working with the iPhone 6 S you will have 10 and 11 hours in the same mode. iPhone 6 offers up to 14 hours of talk time with 3G enabled and work on the Internet and up to 10 hours with the LTE. iPhone 6 Plus has up to 24 hours of talk time with 3G enabled and work on the Internet and up to 12 hours with the LTE.
iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video. iPhone 6 Plus can also offer optical stabilization of picture. iPhone SE has the same iSight rear camera with 12 megapixel as iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, except that no OIS, which is present in the iPhone 6S Plus. Model 6 S Plus has also improved tone mapping system, improved noise reduction technology, lens protection by sapphire crystal, True Tone flash, light sensor on the rear panel, Technology Focus Pixels and touch focus, exposure control and automatic activation of HDR when taking pictures. And also face detection, panorama shooting (up to 63 megapixels) and automatic image stabilization.
The front camera FaceTime in all versions has a low resolution 1.2 megapixel. At the same time the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6 S Plus comes with a 5 megapixel front camera F / 2.2 aperture.
iPhone SE is equipped with a Retina flash that delivers bright pictures with the front camera, regardless of lighting conditions. The iPhone SE also has a feature Live Photo as well as iPhone 6 S and iPhone 6 S Plus.
There is a function of 4 K video recording (3840 x 2160 megapixels) with 30 frames per second in models 6 S, 6 S Plus and 6 SE, as well as HD – video recording 1080p.
